Personal Challenge Q4
I never wrote about it because I forgot, but this quarter I tried to procrastinate less and control my negative emotions more. I find that I bottle up my emotions a lot and then end up getting angry at people when I don't want to do so. I also find that I procrastinate on all of my work and leave everything to the last second (ie right now...) so I've been trying to work on that. I've been doing a lot better at getting things in on time the past few weeks than I had been for the third quarter. I feel like getting things in on time caused me to be less stressed out and therefore not get angry or upset with people as often. And then not being in an awful mood made it easier to finish work and such. This week, it kind of was thrown all away though because I've had a shit ton of work and had to get everything signed so I can get out of here. On top of that, it's hell week for the musical which has caused me to be stressed out and tired and that made it more difficult to do work. I'm proud of myself, though, because my mum's friend was staying with us for a a few days and she is literally the most obnoxious person in the world. I would be trying to get loads of work done after getting home at like 10:00pm this week and she would be asking me 5483790845 questions about what I was doing and such which really didn't help my stress level at all. I wanted to scream at her, but I held it together and my mum kept telling me how proud she was that I didn't flip out because she definitely would have at that point.
Ever since getting back from April break, I have been paying even more attention to my dogs than before because I realized how much I'm going to miss them next year since I already missed them a lot when I was away for a week.

Q3 reflection
from a lined piece of paper:
it's been three weeks since i started this project and i've definitely been taking care of my pets a lot more. i've walked my dogs three or four times. the first time that i offered to walk them, my mum was super surprised about it. normally, when she asks if i want to go with her to take the dogs for a nice walk, i'll say no and then it was just me offering to do it on my own...i'd be surprised, too. my friend tara came with me that first time to walk them. it was one of the first days that it was like 60 degrees and sunny (a few weeks ago) and it was really nice out. we took four out of the five dogs; the fifth one is my sister's asshole dog that no one likes... i can't take all of them by myself, though, so if i want to walk them on my own, i can only bring one or two. technically, two of them are mine, so i'll take those two. my dog tilly is the really fat one so when i took her for a walk, i forced her to run for a while haha. i think that i like walking the dogs by myself better than with other people. i've also been playing with my hamster almost every day.
next entry...
my mum's definitely been noticing that i've been helping out more. if she asks if i want to go on a walk with the dogs now, she knows i'll probably say yes. she doesn't have to remind me to play with my hamster or whatever and i had her out for over an hour a few days ago while we let her venture through the gingerbread house that we still haven't taken down. i still haven't cleaned the cage, but i always chill with my hamster while my mum cleans it. i mean, if she asks me then i'll at least help her, but i'm not going to offer... the time that i have to go walk the dogs, though, is awesome. i love going by myself and having time to just be alone. i need personal space and since most of my siblings are living at home right now, that's really hard to get. if i'm upstairs or whatever trying to get away, everyone will bother me until i come down to hang out with them. driving is the only other time that i can really be by myself so having that extra time walking the dogs is really nice, too.

Personal Challenge Q3
I'm going to spend more time with my pets because I feel like I don't do that enough. One of my dogs is super fat, so I want to take her for walks and such to help her out with that. I got a hamster last year, but my mum's usually the one who cleans her cage and shit, so I'm going to make more of an effort to help her out with that along with feeding the dogs. I'm also going to try to write with my left hand because I used to be ambidextrous, but I kind of gave up on it. It's just something that I've wanted to work on again.

Personal Challenge Q1
For my personal challenge this quarter, I want to help out more at my church. I myself am not very religious at all, but I feel like the church I go to is more about community than specific religious aspects as it is a Unitarian church. I know that the church community is really important to my mum so I want to show that I want to be involved in her interests.
